EVIDENCE OF SATISFYING CONDITIONS FOR STARTING THE PROGRAMME

Evidence you meet all course entry
requirements, i.e.
- Copy of relevant qualification certificates
in your specialist area (minimum level 3) - In exceptional circumstances, if
these are not available, letters from past employers confirming your expertise
(if agreed with course manager and award leader)
- Evidence which confirms your literacy
competence is at Level 2.
- Evidence of registration with Bath Spa
- Confirmation from the Bath Spa Student
Portal of your registration being complete
- Your Bath Spa IT account details (username
and password)
- A copy of your ASSOCiate Online account
details (username and password)
- Evidence of financial support
- A copy of the letter from your local
authority / Student Loan Company confirming your financial support for tuition
fees and / or a maintenance grant.
- If you or your employer are paying for the
course, a copy of the letter from them confirming how they will pay

PLANNING AND TEACHING
By the end of Module LL1201
- A scheme of work you have written (for at
least the first term of your teaching)
- Syllabus/programme specification from
awarding body or other relevant documentation
- At least three session plans, using the
required session plans format (see example plan and notes), with full evaluations. Each plan must identify:
- The aims and learning outcomes/objectives
for the session
- The sequencing / timing / management of the
session.
- Teacher activity and student activity
- learning activities (content) and how they
will be sequenced and managed in the overall session structure
- Embedding of Equality and Diversity
- Embedding of Every Child Matters (where
required)
- Planning for differentiation
- The learning resources required
- How formal and informal assessment is
carried out
- How relevant Key / LLN / Functional and ICT

Note 1:
Each of these three session plans must include copies of the resources
used and a full evaluation
Note 2:
Two of these sessions must be observed, one by your Tutor and one by
your Mentor. You should include the feedback sheet from
your observer. All observed sessions

session plans, including a minimum of 9 session plans – three per term)

this module (making a total of three tutor observations). Include the feedback
sheet from your observer, and ensure that the observed session is clearly
identified (eg by tagging)

SECTION 10: COMMUNITIES OF PRACTICE
By end of Module LL1203
Communities of Practice are groups of
people (teachers in this case) who share a passion for what they do, and who
want to share their knowledge and experience with each other, in order to learn
how to do it better.

SECTION 11:
ASSESSMENT

- Assessment documentation provided by your
awarding body which explains the assessment methods, approaches, rules,
scheduling and weighting which should be used (sometimes called the ‘assessment
scheme’)
- At least two examples of assessments
(formative or summative) completed with your learners and your written feedback
on those assessments, using an appropriate feedback sheet
- A set of your assessment tracking documents
including completed documentation for at least two learners
